Cargomatic recognized as a “Top Company” for women to work in transportation
November 16, 2023–Cargomatic is pleased to be named a Top Company for Women to Work In Transportation—an award presented by the Women in Trucking (WIT) Association.
“This is the third year for this award, which is largely driven by the marketplace,” said Brian Everett, publisher of WIT’s official magazine, Redefining the Road, which announced the results of the competition.
A non-profit organization founded in 2007, WIT has the broader mission of encouraging the employment of women in the trucking industry, promoting their accomplishments and minimizing the obstacles they face in the industry.
“The sheer number of individuals in the industry who participated in the process underscores the importance practitioners in the industry place on this award,” said Everett. More than 13,000 votes were cast to identify the companies named to the list.
A diverse range of business sectors in the commercial freight transportation marketplace comprise the list of supportive companies, including motor carriers, third-party logistics companies and original equipment manufacturers.
These companies—including Cargomatic—were recognized for their support of women in the industry at the WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo that took place on November 5-8.
