What inspired you to pursue a career in logistics, and what has your journey been like?
I was drawn to HR because of the diversity it offers—every role offers a new industry to explore. Starting in HR at a logistics company introduced me to a field I hadn’t considered before, and I’ve found it fascinating. Logistics is fast-paced and complex, and the more I learn the more I enjoy understanding its impact on global trade and local operations. Every day presents new challenges, and I love how HR plays a role in supporting logistics teams. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m excited to keep learning and growing in this industry.

Can you share a proud moment or accomplishment from your time working here?
One of my proudest moments was stepping up when my previous boss moved on, giving me the opportunity to take on her role. It was a big challenge, but it allowed me to apply everything I had learned and take on new, evolving responsibilities. Navigating these tasks has pushed me to grow both personally and professionally, and I’m proud of how I’ve adapted and thrived in this role.

What advice would you give to other women interested in a career in logistics?
My advice would be to jump in and not be afraid of the challenge. Logistics can be tough, but it’s also really rewarding and full of opportunities. Don’t worry if you don’t know everything right away—just keep learning, and ask for help when you need it. And find a good support system; having people you can turn to makes all the difference.

Who has been a mentor or role model for you in your career, and what did you learn from them?
My amazing sisters-in-law have been incredible role models for me. They’ve shown me that it’s absolutely possible to have a fulfilling career while being an active, involved mom. Watching them balance work, family and everything in between has taught me a lot about time management and setting priorities—motivating me to pursue both professional and personal goals. They’ve really inspired me to believe that you can have it all.

What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is “Sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone to grow.” It’s all about stepping up with confidence, even when you don’t have all the answers. It’s helped me trust myself, take on new challenges and push through moments of self-doubt. It’s definitely been a key part of my growth.

If you could tell your younger self one thing about your career journey, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self to trust the process and not rush things. Early on, I was always focused on getting to the next step, but I’ve learned that every experience, even the tough ones, helps shape your journey. Patience and persistence pay off in ways you don’t always see right away.
